The Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) and International Services (IS) mission is to provide care and comfort to the members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. The SAF team supports military families during deployments and emergencies, serves in military and veteran hospitals, conducts emergency communications, and continues supporting our nation's veterans after their service ends. The team also adapts services and creates new programs to meet the needs of today's military members, veterans, and their families. Job Requirements:Here are a few of the roles we are recruiting for: Regional Program Manager Position description: The Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Regional Program Manager manages and administers the delivery of American Red Cross services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. This is accomplished through managing volunteers and working with other Red Cross departments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field is required, or related equivalent experience. A minimum of five years related experience in program management or related field is required. A minimum of 1 year of successful supervisory experience is required. Mobile Regional Program Specialist Position description: The SAF Regional Program Specialist supports the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans and their families located in a designated area, in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. This is accomplished through working with volunteers and other Red Cross departments to support strong visibility for SAF programs within the community. These positions are classified as "mobile", which requires strict medical and security clearances, as well as the condition of worldwide deployment, as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field; or relevant equivalent experience is required. A minimum of three years related experience is required. Viable candidates must have a valid driver's license. Call Center Caseworker Position description: SAF Caseworkers are part of the Emergency Call Center, which provides 24-hour emergency communications and casework services, including access to financial assistance, emergency notifications and other services offered to members of the US military and their families. Responsibilities in this role include collecting client intake information, verification and delivery of emergency messages, communication and follow-up with family members, military staff and other involved parties. Client needs are often sensitive in nature and require you to be compassionate, have a spirit to help and able to remain calm under stressful situations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social or health science, personnel administration, business or public administration, computer science or related field is preferred. Equivalent education and relevant work experience in human/social services, customer or client services, call center or other customer/client services experience will be considered in lieu of formal education/college degree. Prefer minimum one year of experience in addition to educational requirements listed previously. For mobile positions: US citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance and a no-fee US passport. Worldwide mobility is a condition of employment and an essential function of this position. Must accept work assignments anywhere in the world, including conflict areas, where the American Red Cross is providing services to members of the military and their families. Must meet strict medical and physical requirements, including immunizations required by the US military. * Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
