Job Summary: Amentum is hiring a Junior Contract Administrator to perform contract/subcontract administration, procurement, and pricing functions during the pre-award, award, and post-award phases of the procurement process. This includes correspondence, negotiations, subcontract generation, contract close-out, file maintenance, and interaction with multiple technical contract managers and external customers. This position can be supported via telework, via our company office in Norfolk, VA, or a combination of the two (your preference). Essential Responsibilities: Research, analyze, coordinate, develop and maintain documentationEnsure procurement practices, transactions and documentation comply with Company policies and procedures, contract requirements, and Government regulationsReview and process procurement requisitionsCoordinate, develop and produce a wide range of procurement documentationDevelop and maintain procurement files including monitoring and tracking of subcontractor deliverablesObtain and evaluate proposals and quotations; determine offers responsiveness, responsibility and eligibility for award; participate/conduct discussions and negotiations; determine source selectionInterface and coordinate with contractor/subcontractor, intercompany, interdepartment and internal department personnelProvide assistance in coordinating, developing and producing proposalsProvide assistance in coordinating, developing and producing procurement documentation such as acquisition plans, source selection plans and evaluation criteria, agreements, profit analyses, statement of work, data submittal requirements and proposals preparation instructionsMonitor small business activities for the division including, coordinating with technical staff, maintain records, and participating in small business activities/fairsSupport Company's compliance with Government socioeconomic programs and initiativesMaintain a filing system and is responsible for correspondence on contracts and procurement mattersPerforms basic contract negotiations to include direct interface with contracting officersPerforms RFP analysis and develops risk assessmentsInitiates teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements with new business/teaming partnersReviews contract documents and correspondence as part of the analysis of government solicitationsReviews and coordinate review and approval of contract modifications and contract change proposals with program and other COE personnelMonitors current status of assigned contractsPerform all other position related duties as assigned or requested Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related major and 1 year of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Good written and oral communication skills; familiarity with word-processing, database, spreadsheet programs and integrated software applicationsU.S. citizenship Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and related federal and state legislation and regulations
