Visit arcfield.com for more details. Responsibilities: ARCFIELD is seeking an experienced Vice President Accounting, Corporate Controller. The Controller position is primarily responsible for accounting activities, integrity of the general ledger, internal and external reporting, as well as develops and manages strategies, operations and policies, financial statement preparation and reporting and customer accounting functions. This individual will report to the CFO.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior managementManages design and implementation of financial information systems, seek ways to improve financial reporting and controlsProvides information support for the preparation and filing of tax returns. Manages general and cost accounting activities in performing all general ledger functions and keeps custody of accounting books, records and formsOversees preparation of internal accounting and financial reports for management and directorsManages preparation and timely filing of all accounting and financial reports for governmental and regulatory agenciesAnnually develops departmental objectives and recommend short-term and long-term plans with respect to improving the effectiveness of assigned functionsEnsure that all financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and apply advanced knowledge of accounting principles to work performedManage the Director of Accounting Operations and work of accounting staff in areas of accounts payable, payroll, billing and general ledger; periodically reviewing work priorities and assignments as well as interviewing and recommending candidates when necessaryDevelop and implement revenue recognition accounting processEstablish and maintain a strong internal controls environment to ensure continued compliance with applicable policies and procedures, Federal regulations and contractual requirements.Key interface with financial auditors.Assess the talent within the accounting organization, recruit key individuals to address skill gaps, motivate and develop professionals on the team and develop a retention plan. Qualifications: CPA (preferred)15+ years of experience working in senior finance and accounting roles8+ years of experience with government contracting GAAP and operational accounting5 + years of current Deltek Costpoint experience requiredExperience in managing financial reporting and accounting operations in government contractingAbility to get a clearanceBS 20+, MS 18+, PhD 14+
