The National Security Space Association (NSSA) is seeking a bright, energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented development manager to join a small team at a rapidly growing industry association, assisting with day-to-day association activities. NSSA (www.nssaspace.org) is a non-profit support association solely dedicated to the National Security Space enterprise, to include the Department of Defense, US Space Force, and the Intelligence Community. NSSA works to advance long-term cooperation among industry and government, leading the way with expert opinion, insight and analysis. Reporting to the Chief Operations and Development Officer, the Association Development Manager will provide general support across a variety of tasks, including membership development, member relations, workforce development, communications, event planning, and other duties as assigned. Duties and ResponsibilitiesMembership DevelopmentConduct research to identify potential industry partnersOutreach and scheduling membership meetings with NSSA leadershipDevelop relationships with potential and current industry partners Track various points of contact within member organizationsCoordinate renewals with existing membersProvide detailed weekly reports of status of membership program to include renewals, prospects, and accounts receivableManagement of membership portion of website to ensure accuracy Serve as a Point of Contact for member questionsEvent PlanningPlanning for in-person and virtual events at both the unclassified and classified levelSupport all event logistics activities Support planning and presentations for Board of Advisors and Board of Directors meetingsCoordinate logistics for workforce development programs and eventsCommunicationsSupport weekly email newsletter and other email marketing effortsWork with communications team on social media outreachSupport media outreach and cultivating media contact relationshipsManage contact and distribution lists to maintain up to date informationExperience/RequirementsBachelor's Degree.A minimum of 3-5 years of experience for or with industry associations, private sector industry, or governmentExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlinesAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting deadlines and attending to the smallest of detailsOutstanding interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationshipsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to travel including weekendsAbility to work and support events outside of normal work hours, to include nights and weekendsPreferredExperience in national security or space a plusCEM and CAE certifications are a plusActive security clearance a plusNSSA workforce is provided through our trusted partner company, Velos.
