Program Specialist - Day Services
Position Description:The role of the Program Specialist - Day Services is to serve as an advocate and hands-on team member facilitating services through the development of the Individual Person Centered Plan (PCP) and outcomes that support individuals to live/work as independently as possible in the community. This position acts as a day-to-day liaison for all persons served, while maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies as applicable. The Program Specialist must be able to demonstrate an ability to administer programs consistent with the standards set forth by DDA regulations.This is an hourly (non-exempt) M-F Day position. Requirements:This position requires an AA degree, or 60 college credit hours; two (2) years of relevant experience, including knowledge of the Person Centered Planning process; and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, Outlook. Must also be 18 years old or older, have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience, and a good driving history.In addition, the successful candidate must be able to attend our paid specialized training in its entirety, on and off during your first two (2) weeks and 3 days of employment - M-F from 8:30 - 5:00 pm. Applicants also need to pass a background check, and pre-employment screenings, which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test. Position requires lifting and transferring (at least 50 pounds), and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served.
