SUMMARY The Project Coordinator supports the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division (AFHSD), Public Health Directorate, of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). AFHSD's mission is to provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information in order to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations. The Project Coordinator supports the Senior Program Manager by performing administrative duties associated with the AFHSD program. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides responsive support to customers and staff to ensure satisfaction. Supports contract service delivery processes, actions and tracking requirements. Coordinates with corporate offices to initiate, facilitate and complete required contract, personnel, and procurement actions. Facilitates hiring actions including coordination with talent acquisition and setting up interviews. Develops contractual deliverables in partnership with Program Manager and Technical Leads. Uses MS Excel to track program funding, invoices, labor and ODCs. Assists with DELTEK time and CONCUR expense management systems Maintains contractor rosters and personnel staffing lists. Assists with coordinating and planning program events and activities. Monitors, evaluate and resolve problems related to activities assigned. Reviews existing procedures and formulate new ones, if required. Identifies potential areas for process improvement. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY No supervisory/management authority. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a business discipline preferred and 3 years of relevant experience in a military contracting environment required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent organizational skills and knowledgeable in project management methods and tools. Ability to effectively communicate relevant project information to customer and staff Familiarity with the Military Health System and Defense Health Agency a plus. Able to obtain a Public Trust, existing Public Trust highly desired Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Visio Must be able to travel. Must pass a drug screen and background investigation WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment. Pursuant to US Presidential Executive Order 14042, Cherokee Federal is now requiring that all employees be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8th and going forward. Prospective employees will fall under this requirement and proof of vaccination will be required for on-boarding, should you be selected. Limited exemptions for religious or medical reasons will be considered. TEMPORARY NOTE: On Tuesday, Dec. 7, a federal judge issued an injunction blocking President Joe Biden's COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal contractors (EO 14042). Cherokee Federal is monitoring the court case and awaiting a final ruling. As a result of the injunction, Cherokee Federal is halting the enforcement of the mandate, however, if the injunction is lifted and the mandate remains, Cherokee Federal must reenact its vaccine requirement.
