The Project Engineer provides technical and design support for project installations and works closely with Project Management and Installation teams to ensure design security solutions, including Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Visitor Management. Additional responsibilities include reviewing project pricing and bill of materials are correct to meet the system scope and sequence of operations. The Project Engineer will provide technical support to Technicians on construction jobs and client sites. Responsibilities: Supports new Commercial and Multi Family installation projects by conducting site assessments, provide technical support to technicians, contractors and Project Manager to ensure installations are completed to Kastle System standards. Interfaces with Kastle Project team members, General Contractors, Subcontractors and clients Security product, equipment and services expertCompile and present reports explaining project details to non-technical stakeholdersMonitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standardsPrepare change order cost proposal documents, submittal documents, as-built packages and presentationsCompile and present reports explaining project details to non-technical stakeholdersWorks cross-functionally with internal teams including EPL, Purchasing, Operations, and Client Services to ensure the clients expectations are metUses hands-on field experience to ensure that the systems designed, can be effectively installed, and maintainedMonitor project progress, compliance with design specifications and safety standardsDirect engineering activities, assign tasks and provide training and supportCreate project schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlinesMaintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activitiesCollaborate with management to align activities with desired business outcomesWorks under the direction of the Vice President of Program Management Mid-Atlantic region Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering, construction, building, or related field is preferred3+ years of electronic security system integration design, installation/service and vendor managementExperience in design of access control, video/CCTV, and front office visitor management systemsProficient in Bluebeam, REVU, ACAD computer aided engineering software or equivalentProject Management experience specific to the security or electrical industry is desirableSkills and experience with installing, managing, programming, and troubleshooting: Network and Cloud-based access control systems, video management systems, IP cameras and physical security system components (ie electric locks, card readers, intrusion sensors, etc.)Experience reading and responding to Security Design Scope Specifications, architectural, electrical construction drawings, commercial and multi-family door hardware, door details, submittal packages, RFI/RFP and construction bulletins.
