Position: Business Analyst Location: College Park, MD(Onsite) Duration: 12 months Job Description: The Senior Business Analyst will collaborate with the stakeholders and local advisory groups as defined. The resource will collaborate with the technical project manager, program manager, business sponsors, and affected stakeholders to ensure that the current baseline and future desired state requirements and deliverables for the financial management system and Student Information System are fully documented resulting in successful procurements. Education: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.A Master's degree is preferred. Responsibilities and Tasks Interview stakeholders and document the current baseline business processes, systems capabilities, and performance gaps. Support the data reporting requirements for the Initiative, Office of Finance, and Office of Performance Reporting and Accountability by performing the following activities:Identifying and documenting the reporting needs of the programs. Determining how to replace the existing systems so that the new systems can support the data elements required for the reports. Determining interoperable solutions with the current financial management systems and the planned state-wide SIS implementation. Develop user stories that drive requirements based on the Initiative. These user stories will be the basis for the new system requirements and specifications. Required Experience: Must have at least three (3) years of experience working as a Business Analyst within the last five (5) years in the following: Analysing and documenting existing baseline business processes and software systems, including database management systems and web-based applications. Analysing and documenting the desired future state requirements and deliverables to support the procurement of new information systems with improved business processes. Microsoft Office 365 including Visio, Project, and Azure DevOps. Demonstration of excellent verbal and written communication skills. At least two (2) years' experience analysing financial management systems and lifecycle processes from budgeting to payments. Working in the K12 education domain will be an advantage.
