This position will support cybersecurity authorization-related efforts for SMUS Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division. The main role is to guarantee the quality, security, and retrievability of information and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of data. This role will secure IT infrastructure, maintain hardware and software updates, establish security standards, and monitor all system security threats for the Enterprise Mission Management Branch. The IA Consulting Engineer will perform cybersecurity authorization services, including acting as a point of contact for cybersecurity authorization-related aspects to the including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport.CLIENT OVERVIEWNC3 Enterprise Center (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division serves as the principal enterprise systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and technical authority for the NC3 Enterprise within the Department of Defense. As the lead NC3 Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) arm of the NC3 Enterprise Center, the division applies and remains up to date on systems engineering best practices while remaining agile when translating mission and operational requirements into appropriate technical specifications and solutions. SE&I also has the responsibility to apply established standards, and when necessary, develop new standards, to ensure seamless interoperability across the NC3 enterprise.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOutlined below are the critical requirements for this position:Develop, in partnership with NC3 stakeholder community, an NC3 Cyber Assessment Plan that leverage existing stakeholder efforts and utilizes the plan to assess NC3 systems. This work includes proposing standards and innovative solutions to improve cyber protection on NC3 systems.Track waiver submissions, produce analysis reports, and make recommendations for decision makers and governance forums to meet current cybersecurity (eg RMF, scorecard) and other related guidance (eg NC3 Umbrella Security Classification and Handling Guidance).Conduct trend analysis across NC3 systems and programs to determine potential common points of failure and provide recommendations.Execute this work in partnership with larger NC3 Stakeholder community (ie STRATCOM J67).Technical understanding of supporting security initiatives, conducting security monitoring, reporting, and maintaining security compliance following security regulations and policiesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSSecurity Clearance: Top SecretMust have at least three (3) years of demonstrated relevant experience with and/or education in communication principles and theory in NC3 systemsMust have a CISSP certificationMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, Eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)Must be a United States CitizenPREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONSStrong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.Technical knowledge and skills in one of the following areas: cybersecurity assessment, vulnerability scanning, integration and testing, data analytics or security operations.Technical understanding of supporting security initiatives, conducting security monitoring, reporting and maintaining security compliance following security regulations and policies.Experience with Security Engineering and Architecture, Certification and Accreditation, Vulnerability Assessment, Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, Security Operations, and Policy and Program Development.Location: Ft.
