A$ A' "A' ?Washington Business Dynamics (WBD) is seeking an experienced Scientific Technical Writer (with PhD) to support external clientele needs for National Institute of Health programs. This individual will support clientele with scientific workshops and other events to assist the Institute in conducting and implementing its biomedical programs. Must be able to think analytically, articulate ideas clearly, and write and/or edit a wide array of scientifically related documents. Skilled in writing reports, executive summaries, news stories, and magazine-style, longer-form articles, and other communication materials with attention to facts, detail, and context. Ability to work under pressure, be constructively proactive, successfully manage multiple projects and meet multiple tight deadlines; simultaneously negotiate new and ongoing priorities while working in a dynamic, complex environment with a high-level of communication, transparency, and diplomacy. Experience with health and science research, NIH or Aligned health/science federal agency experience is preferred.Location: Bethesda, MD. (Most work can be completed remotely; however, workshops and other events will require attendance at the NIH, Bethesda campus. The candidate should live within reasonable proximity to occasionally commute to Bethesda.)A' . Creation, management, and execution of assignments that synthesize and communicate complex scientific concepts for multiple audiences.A' . Must be able to think analytically, articulate ideas clearly, and write and/or edit a wide array of scientific documentation.A' . Attend and support Pre-Event meetings with team.A' . Develop promotional materials for scientific workshops and events. This may include materials for social media, regular media outlets, email, and event internet page development.A' . Attend scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops.A' . Write, edit, and review content that includes reports, executive summary reports, and other publications.A' . Interact professionally with biomedical clinicians, researchers, and policymakers with an intermediate level of scientific fluency.A' . Reviewing and amending work in response to leadership feedbackA PhD in a health sciences related area is required (eg chemistry, biology, microbiology, anatomy, pharmacology, biochemistry, etc.)6 or more years of professional experienceExperience with health and science research, NIH or Aligned health/science federal agency experience is preferred.Ability to support multiple projects from concept to completion, work independently, and adhere to tight deadlines.High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.A' . Certification in Technical Writing is preferred
