This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work for a company intent upon dominating the free market by compelling its selection as the premier nuclear energy power plant of choice around the world for the 21st century!Position DescriptionThe Project Quality Assurance Engineer will perform Quality Assurance services in support of X-energy's reactor development project, including documenting, implementing and maintaining United States Commercial Nuclear, Department of Energy, Canadian Nuclear and International Quality Management systems. You'll ensure compliance to applicable NRC, DOE, CNSC and ISO requirements for all project activities. This includes responsibility for relevant administrative and technical quality decisions. You will apply your detailed knowledge, understanding and experience in the functional discipline and its practical application, industry codes, guidelines, and regulations. You will also actively support our safety culture and Quality Assurance activities associated with X-energy's reactor development related to supply chain activities, graphite irradiation and fuel qualification programs.ResponsibilitiesA cents € cents Ensure processes/documents needed for the reactor program Quality Management System are identified, established, implemented, and maintained as necessary.A cents € cents Oversee quality assurance documents and records.A cents € cents Analyze non-conformances and implements process improvement and corrective actions.A cents € cents Troubleshoot quality problems and contributes recommendations/solutions.A cents € cents Register, follow-up, and tracks Corrective Action Requests.A cents € cents Manage, plans, monitors, and improve testing programs to specified standards (implement testing and inspection criteria).A cents € cents Work with the engineers to facilitate process methodologies.A cents € cents Assist with conducting internal quality inspections.A cents € cents Obtain/Maintain NQA-1 auditor status.A cents € cents Assist with supplier evaluations and qualifications through audits, assessments, and inspections.A cents € cents Provide statistical information for quality improvement where relevant.A cents € cents Facilitate, provide, and encourage appropriate company quality training.A cents € cents Assist with implementation of QA Program.A cents € cents Report to the Director, Quality Assurance regarding the status of the quality programs and, where appropriate, concerns over significant hazards and risks and recommendations for improvement.A cents € cents Play an active role to ensure safety and quality culture is promoted and continually improved.Minimum Qualifications BS degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) or related field from an accredited college or university.Minimum education requirement can also be met by having 5+ years of pertinent nuclear related experience (commercial nuclear, DOE, Navy Nuclear, supply chain, engineering, etc.).Understanding and ability to apply 10CFR50 App B, 10CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1 requirements to nuclear design development, software QA, design testing and manufacturing programs (desired).Understanding of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) of software, services anditems/components (desired).Ability to work in a team to produce desired outputs in short turnaround times.We are looking to fill this position immediately.An Equal Opportunity Employer.
