Description Robert Half is currently working with an International Non-Profit client seeking a Director of Finance . The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience within a government grant-funded organization, including all areas of grant tracking, compliance, and reporting. Strong candidates will also possess technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. Then this may be the role for you.How you will make an impact- Prepare financial analysis for product investment decisions and contract negotiations- Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts- Take ownership of insurance and risk management- Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal- Manage the preparation of all financial reports- Hire, train, and retain finance staff- Take the lead on all financial and accounting operations- Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives- Compare monthly operating results against budget- Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance- Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functionsFor immediate consideration, please contact Aaron Brennan directly on LinkedIn Requirements - Strong analytical thinking and a detail-oriented mindset- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience- Expert understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles-Knowledge of government grants/contract funding/reporting/compliance - Strong Microsoft Excel skills required- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting- Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems- MBA or CPA is preferredFor immediate consideration, please contact Aaron Brennan directly on LinkedInRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
