This position is a permanent role and is located in the Herndon, Virginia area. Candidates who feel they are a good fit should apply with Robert Half.Responsibilities- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes- Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Manually or electronically post financial information Requirements - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting- Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics experience required- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required- 1+ years of accounting experience required- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
