This Accounting Clerk position at a reputable business is for someone who can handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accounting Clerk in the Alexandria, Virginia, area. In this position, you will get terrific benefits, a wonderful work space/office, and a dynamic team culture.Your responsibilities- File vendor invoices and disbursements and match & file A/P invoices to support accounts payable- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts- Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Post financial information to journals and ledgers- Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis Requirements - Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system- Experience with high volume data entry- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Microsoft Excel experience- Ability to multitask effectively Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
