Responsibilities
- Prepares and analyzes business unit s and company financial statements . Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; preparing standard and custom financial reports; and recommending actions to management and staff
- Prepares monthly journal entries and month end closing reporting
- Records and dispose of fixed assets, record and track of construction in progress, and prepares monthly reconciliations of the fixed asset subsidiary ledger and construction in progress tracking schedule to the general ledger
- Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets and assist auditors with fixed asset inquiries.
- Performs and reviews detailed account analysis / reconciliations to ensure appropriate accounting for transactions and account balances
- Assists with the internal and external audits as needed
- Performs special projects as needed and provide support to the accounting team
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Evaluate processes and reports to drive efficiencies and support automation efforts
- Analyzes the opportunity for implementing technology solutions by quantifying potential savings and value addition
- Participates in the development, modification, and review of accounting systems, reporting methods, and controls.
- Collaborating with other functions effectively to create enhanced reporting and analysis
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
- Capable of multi-tasking and good time management so all deadlines are met
Required Skills & Required Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- CPA preferred, but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Experience with MS Power BI would be a plus
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizational skills and ability to move fluidly in a fast paced environment
- Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
