Data Architect - Team Lead
Job Description: We have an immediate need for a Enterprise Architect/Data Architect/Technical Team Lead to join our talented team in support of a federal client in Falls Church, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading application development and other technical efforts across a large multi-disciplined team, driving IT modernization efforts. Typical responsibilities include: Direct, manage, and lead the technical team - including working with the Program and Project Manager to strategize on architectural design based on reliability and long-term sustainability of productAdapt approved lifecycle methodologies to project needs and direct the team in applying methodologyProvides expert training, guidance and insight into specific technologies and methodologies and their applicationIndependently plan and perform research, design assessment, development, integration and other assignments where a specific subject matter expertise is necessaryLead and support continuing technical assessment to identify issues and make recommendations on improving overall product stabilitySupport sustainment of existing functionality and new, complex efforts like adding new modules and workflows or resolving complex technical issuesDeliver complex presentations or demos to describe functional changes or requirements released with latest package or imageDesign enhancements and features with organizational needs in mind to (including policies and procedures) to achieve objectives by working with Functional SMEsWork with Functional SMEs to estimate level of effort (LOE) of requirements and design solutions or development tasks that meet short-term and long-term needs using comprehensive, realistic, and effective plansRecognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent; evaluates alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach and recommends solutions based on LOE and impact assessmentsRegularly reviews and provides LOE estimation inputs to the Ektropy backlog as a part of continuous backlog grooming, support technical design discussions, and provides inputs during Sprint grooming to release featuresMaintain updates on task completion, challenges, issues, and status using a centralized requirements management toolDesign fixes and enhancements/perform program coding using client components and technologies (see Required Skills)Conduct and direct the team in conducting unit, smoke, and other relevant development testing, including creation of test cases and automating testsSupport user acceptance testing and demos and participate in code reviews, as requiredSupport configuration audits and ensure application integrity and identifies problems early on for product reliability in sustainmentIdentify strategies to create a better collaboration between developers, testers, project managers and users, using development methods and automated practicesLeverage experience and judgement to resolve technical issue or escalate, when applicableProvide subject matter expertise in enterprise architecture (EA) framework and modeling techniques such as DoDAF, BEA, FEAF, FSAM etc. Qualifications: Requirements:Master's degree in related field with at least 10 years of combined commercial and Federal experience in designing, developing, and managing large enterprise applications of similar scale and complexity OR Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 15 years of combined commercial and Federal experience in designing, developing, and managing large enterprise applications of similar scale and complexitySecret eligible (preference over resources who already possesses a Secret or a DoD CAC)Security+ or higher (within 6 months of onboarding)Required Skills:Architect solutions for large-scale solutions (for example, 1000+ concurrent users)Independently create successful technical solutions to address business needs of similar complexityDemonstrate technical proficiency in targeted information technologies through certification relevant to the proposed technology landscape (.NET applications, etc.)Provide review and QA for the work of others on the team and train and lead junior team membersAccept ultimate responsibility for the overall IT solution to business problems presented on the project, and ensured the solutions were appropriately implementedSupport modernization and migration of functionality and data between various systemsSuccessfully create IT solutions for multiple projects, applying broad knowledge and understanding of technical optionsDemonstrate technical proficiency and expert knowledge related to the required area of expertise through industry recognition and/or actual performanceAttain necessary training or certification(s) to remain aligned with NetImpact's IT strategy and directionProvide technical expertise throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of a Health IT solution.
