Summary

The Content Data Manager is responsible for the sustainment of ATS Geospatial Content Management System (AGCMS) and will manage all aspects of analyst-generated spatial data for NGA. The system utilizes ESRI products to manage storage, discovery, access, dissemination, and processing in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure content management practices, technology, and data structure meet internal or external customer requirements.
  • Provide data guidance to maintain data currency and adherence to standards develops workflows, implement system modifications, and oversee daily system management to ensure customer access and continuous operations.
  • Replicate data changes between cloud and location-based servers to reduce data access latency and maintain currency across all data nodes.
  • Provide support on both Windows and Linux across three security domains (UC2S, SC2S, and TC2S).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Master's degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience with Python programming language
  • Demonstrated technical skills with data management and working knowledge of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
  • ArcGIS Server, GeoServer
  • Familiarity with Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standards-based web services, like Web Map Service (WMS), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Processing Service (WPS), and Web Map Tile Service (WMTS)
  • Active TS/SCI clearanceThe position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
