Summary
The Training Specialist will work with the training team and stakeholders to create training guides, PowerPoint training briefs, training videos, instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process and provide training to trainers and the user community. The Training Specialist will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio to communicate and educate our customers' employees, and stakeholders.

The Training Specialist will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio to communicate and educate our customers' employees, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct train-the-trainer, classroom, and online training to customers and user community as required.
- Define objectives for a course and/or curriculum.
- Outline the concept for a course or curriculum, defining (needs for) the course medium, content delivery, assessments, accompanying materials, and complementary learning approaches.
- Create and write course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc.
- Use PowerPoint to draft screen layouts, graphics, video software, and interactions appropriate to the content.
- Perform research and mapping of system functionality without continuous guidance or input from SMEs.
- Maintain superior knowledge of a rapidly changing system as part of the agile software development process and be able to recognize and implement changes that will impact training materials.
- Work with subject matter experts and course sponsors to collect feedback and integrate it into the course draft.
- Proof course at multiple stages of development and make or document required changes.
- Work with customers' employees, and stakeholders via email, phone, and in-person to collect information needed to complete modules.
- Support training customers in all time zone.
- Define project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously with the team as required.
- Keep track of project tasks and status.
- Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction.
- Keep up to date on learning tools, trends, and ideas.
- Perform helpdesk duties as required.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, etc.)
- Secret clearance required
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience developing and conducting instructor-led training, either live or online is preferred
- Keen attention to detail is required for testing system capabilities and identifying potential defects and flaws in a timely manner that may impact customer experience.
- Experience with reviewing documentation for use by the user community is preferred
- Strong written and verbal English grammar, spelling, punctuation usage, and pronunciation
- Knowledge and application of adult learning principles
- Ability to develop workflows and business procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills in both customer interactions and team interactions and a willingness to interact with customers on a regular basis
- Experience taking, creating, or administering online asynchronous training
- Microsoft Word experience with basic text formatting functions, tables, bullets, numbering, hanging indents, inserting graphics, tracking changes, and accepting comments and changes
- Microsoft PowerPoint experience with basic text formatting, tables, master layouts, text and title placeholders, entering slide notes, and the ability to use graphic design features to create screen layouts
- Experience with creating and editing training videos
- Microsoft Outlook (or similar) email and calendar with the ability to send, receive, and file email, and create and accept calendar appointments and invitations
- Ability to maintain and access files in an organized fashion on both local hard drive and network drive
