Position SummaryBe a part of Washington, DC's hospitality and tourism recovery landscape. Destination DC (DDC) is hiring a Talent Acquisition Manager to join the HR Team. This position will change and revamp our current recruiting and talent management process with innovative strategies for securing and retaining talent. Our goal is to build and develop the best team in the tourism and hospitality industry.The ideal candidate will have 5 years of full life cycle talent acquisition or equivalent experience preferably supporting associations or non-profit organizations. In the role, the manager will interface with the executive team, senior leadership and hiring managers to deliver and source qualified talent that support DDC's business and DEI objectives and strategic priorities. The manager will work with hiring managers to understand their recruiting needs, drive strategic sourcing and recruitment of sales, marketing, administrative professionals and other open positions. In addition, the position will support strategic business development opportunities by identifying and working to retain key personnel and providing input into developing tailored talent acquisition strategies.The RoleImagine yourself in an environment that is fast-paced and changes daily, where processes are still to be defined and where your ideas can shape tomorrow's leaders. We are looking for an outgoing, autonomous and diligent manager who will take ownership of the full employee life cycle at DDC. You will play a pivotal role in building DDC's future talent pipeline. In this role you will have the chance to collaborate closely with senior leadership and hiring managers. You will work as part of the HR team.In addition, during periods when recruitment volume is low, you will have the opportunity to collaborate on various other staff related projects. Employees are currently working a hybrid schedule, 2 to 3 days from home.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but are not limited to)Partner with the executive team, senior leadership and hiring managers and act as a business partner/strategic advisor to recruit, select and proactively implement strategies to retain talent and ensure smooth processes and a great candidate experienceIdentify and screen active and potential candidates to assess their fit for current and future needsDevelop processes to ensure that the hiring, interview and selection process is fair and free from biasResearch and implement new and creative sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates Work with hiring managers to define candidate profiles and job descriptionsNegotiate and extend offers to qualified candidates in coordination with the hiring manger, HR, and the CFO Ensure that the applicant tracking system is utilized and applicants are contacted, screened, interviewed, and dispositioned appropriately in accordance with OFCCP guidelinesIdentity and recruit passive candidates for open positions and manage a pipeline of passive talent by participating in job fairs and networking events, and building relationships with local high schools, the American Experience Foundation, local/regional colleges and universitiesWork closely with CFO and Senior HR Manager on compensation and salary administrationManage training and professional development for staff and supervisorsUtilize data and metrics to continuously improve our sourcing strategy and approach and to analyze impactDevelop, monitor and manage annual budget for recruiting, related work and programsOther duties as assignedExperience, Competencies & EducationA minimum of 5 years of talent acquisition, recruiting or human resources or equivalent experienceFour-year degree from an academic institution is requiredDemonstrated experience in all full life cycle recruiting components to include, but not limited to: sourcing, qualifying/screening candidates, networking, OFCCP compliance, job analysis, salary trend analysis, and pipeline and relationship managementExcellent analytical, oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-taskHospitality, association, or non-profit industry experience a plusDemonstrated commitment to and understanding of DEIThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Office, applicant tracking, recruitment software and databasesEmployee must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19To Apply: Submit cover letter and resume with salary requirements to .DESTINATION DC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
