Executive Assistant The George Mason University, Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations, is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for the position of Executive Assistant. Functional units within Advancement include development/fundraising, alumni relations, donor relations and stewardship, advancement communications, special events, gift processing, research, prospect management, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, information systems and management, and infrastructure services.Advancement's mission is to build strong, lifelong relationships with George Mason University's alumni and constituents, while matching their philanthropic interests with the university's aspirations and priorities. Respect, service, integrity, collaboration, diversity, transparency, and creativity are the values that guide our work and culture.Responsibilities:The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing C-suite level administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for conducting research, preparing agendas, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, answering and directing phone calls, distributing communications, arranging conference calls, making travel arrangements, preparing reimbursements, and scheduling meetings. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent level of training and experience;Progressively responsible office experience, preferably in a higher education setting, with executive support including meeting and document creation and preparation;Considerable knowledge of higher education operations, policies, and procedures preferred;Proven success working effectively with a broad array of diverse constituents;Proactive with a strong sense of processes, policies, and procedures;Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail;Excellent customer service skills;Excellent experience with Microsoft Office Suite;Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines;Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task;Event and meeting coordination and planning;Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;Ability to generate ideas, think creatively, and develop innovative solutions;Excellent interpersonal skills; professional, diplomatic, and able to main confidentiality;Ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles;Ability to speak, listen, and write clearly and concisely, using appropriate communication tools and techniques;Excellent database use and file maintenance.
