Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a HR Manager.Responsibilities:* In this role, the HR Manager provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations* Maintain and update the employee handbook including laws and regulations of all staff working within the DC metropolitan area (DC, MD, and VA)* The HR Manager will ensure that AFPI financial grant obligations and reporting is complete for consolidation with the parent company's financial staff* Develops and maintains HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), employee policies, other HR communications* Oversees the creation and storage of employee data in HRIS system* Manages the Benefit program, including renewals and open enrollment* Coordinate with the parent company's program to facilitate fellowship orientation sessions* Manages retirement plan compliance and enrollment processes* As a HR Manager, this role works with parent company's Finance and program departments to audit employee benefits deductions and ensure contributions are correct* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required* SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired* A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
