Senior Program Manager, Government Cloud

Appian's Information Security team is looking for an experienced Lead, Appian Government Cloud Program with knowledge of DoD Risk Management Frameworks. This role will strategically design and develop roadmaps to facilitate customer success within the Federal and DoD Public. This role enables compliance, operations, and sales to support Appian's customers in accelerating their missions with confidence. More about Appian Government Cloud can be found here .

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Work alongside our teams to become the Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of our the Public Sector Compliance programs with includes our FedRAMP Moderate compliance environment and our DoD IL5 Appian Government Cloud (AGC) Program.
• Goals during 2023 include achieving new certifications such as FedRAMP High with AGC as well as maintaining provisional authorizations for FedRAMP Moderate and DoD IL5.
• Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships (stakeholder, customer, partners).
• While the main job duties include ensuring the health and compliance of the program, you will partner with departments across Appian to improve operational efficiency and facilitate features that enhance the customer experience.
• Partner with the Security Enablement, Sales, and Customer success team to lead meeting with customers and prospects to develop and prioritize feature backlog. Specifically to facilitate market needs from our customers that improve Appian's Government Cloud value proposition year over year that may be program enhancement or additional features.
• Create documentation and playbooks that enable partner teams on go-to-market activities. This includes partnering across various teams.
• Good understanding of cloud architecture principles and the ability to facilitate or explain technological and business concepts to auditor and engineering partners.
• Manage relationships with project stakeholders, keep stakeholders informed of progress, risk & dependencies and manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills in order to effectively present to a wide range of stakeholders, from technical resources to senior executives.
• Work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment and effectively liaise with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Basic qualifications:

• 3+ years working with an organization or engineering teams that leverages agile processes for Project, Product, or Program Management. Formal PMP certification preferred
• 3+ years experience with the go-live of systems within the Federal Government (DoD SRG, FedRamp, Authority to Operate, ATO)
• 6+ years of Governance, Compliance and Risk experience (FedRAMP preferred experience)
• DoD 8570 IAT level II or above certification preferred (i.e. Security+, CISA, CISM)
• Exposure to Cloud Technologies is preferred
