We are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Project Manager/Project Controls to contribute to the continued, long-term success of a key education study. You will support project leadership and collaborate with a wide array of project, client, and corporate staff. You will begin your assignment collaborating closely with a Principal Associate and will gradually assume greater levels of responsibility for scope, cost, schedule, and contract management. In turn, we will together benefit from your strong oral and written communication skills; aptitude for developing and tracking project deliverables; and passion for providing timely and  accurate information to decisionmakers.

This is a full time position and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop a solid understanding of the project's scope to ensure that the client and the project team are aligned.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop budgets that align to contractual requirements and program Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Prepare reports detailing the project's technical status and cost performance.
  • Assist with the development of cost estimates and monthly cost projections.
  • Review project costs and client invoices for accuracy.
  • Maintain a high-level project schedule.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and track contract deliverables.
  • Prepare and manage project-specific deliverables related to financial or contractual requirements (e.g., invoicing, limitation of funds monitoring, etc.).
  • Communicate effectively, professionally, and collaboratively with project, corporate, and client staff.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to schedule meetings.
  • Assist with other administrative and operational duties as needed.
Basic Qualifications: 
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in project management/project controls.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by contract. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience using Deltek Costpoint and Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams. 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Be driven by new challenges and possess a 'can do' attitude and approach.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to manage tight timelines and shifting priorities.
  • Effective people skills and emotional intelligence are a strong plus.
