Job Announcement
Co-manages operations and staff at three locations currently utilized to operate the County’s Logistics Services Center. Daily reporting will fluctuate amongst the three locations and transferring from location to location throughout the day may be required based on operational needs. Plans, coordinates, and directs logistics operations to support various county departments. Manages library book routing and redistribution operations. Provides support to the property group with floor level job functions when necessary. Responsible for efficient route scheduling and best-in-class warehouse storage practices. Manages stock control: receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods; material packing and kit assembly. There are two Warehouse Supervisors assigned to Logistics Services, and constant, effective communication amongst the two is critical to assure information is being shared in a timely manner. Staff scheduling coincides with workloads, and daily operations are managed as efficiently as possible. Works with Inventory Manager to plan efficient use of available space. Collects and reports productivity data. Ensures that workplace health and safety requirements are met. Responsible for the Logistics Center security. Oversees vehicle fleet and material handling equipment maintenance. Acts as accountable asset manager for all property assigned to the warehouse division. Responds to changing customer needs and challenges. Uses customer feedback and suggestions to enhance effectiveness. Supports multiple programs as well as emergency response support as needed, which may require extended shifts, and/or modified schedules.
Schedule: Position participates in events which may occur outside of normal business hours.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree in finance, accounting or related field plus three years inventory, purchasing or accounts payable experience using an automated system including two years supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and a driving record check.
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The work is performed in a warehouse setting and may require carrying and lifting to 50 pounds. The work is typically performed while sitting with intermittent standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

- Ability to safely operate all types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to learn and utilize FOCUS procurement and inventory modules.
