Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Floater for our Rehabilitation Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) you will:
• Perform an initial examination and evaluation to establish an impairment/diagnosis, prognosis and plan of care prior to intervention
• Involve the patient/client and appropriate others in the planning, implementation, and assessment of the plan of care.
• Plan for discharge of the patient/client taking into consideration achievement of anticipated goals and expected outcomes, and provide for appropriate follow-up or referral.
• Communicate, coordinate, and document all aspects of patient/client management including the results of the initial examination and evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care, interventions, response to interventions, barriers to progress, and changes in patient/client status
• Educate and provide consultation to consumers, healthcare professionals and the public regarding the purposes and benefits of therapy.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Speech-language pathology from accredited speech-language pathology program.
• CCC-SLP - Certificate of Clinical Competence required
• Licensure as an SLP in the state of Maryland required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

Float weekdays where needed and work the schedule needed between 6:30 am and 7:30 pm weekdays (with 4 weeks' notice of schedule changes outside of 8:00 am to 5:30pm).

*Must work the weekend/holiday requirement of any covered position, if applicable.

Home Base- Inpatient Rehab White Oak

Additional locations to include: Acute Rehab at Shady Grove Medical Center, Inpatient Rehab Rockville, Outpatient Rehab Rockville, Silver Spring, White Oak Medical Pavilion, and Downtown Crown
