Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Remote-Eligible)

Team Info:

The E nterprise Monitoring team supports our Program Management efforts with a strong focus on developing services to support well-managed enterprise monitoring solutions for data transformation for multiple business use-cases. This role provides exposure to various data quality tools, data provenance, and ML systems at scale. We are a technology-centric organization with a deep appreciation for entrepreneurs and encourage the use of multiple technology stacks and disciplines to solve problems.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and integrate with data management platforms to meet the defined requirements
  • Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define, architect, and build API services
  • Develop, maintain, and own web services used for development and production environments
  • Tackle some of the most challenging problems in distributed cloud computing, data governance, HTTP, API design, and more
  • Develop new processes/tasks/objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand
  • Work to automate and develop Enterprise data monitoring services that support business needs and data governance
  • Write quality, maintainable code with extensive test coverage in a fast-paced professional software engineering environment
  • Own partnership with cross-functional technology and design teams to ensure consistent, beneficial client interaction and solution delivery
  • Set and enforce coding standards
  • Design conceptual architecture and technical solutions and lead efforts to developing and implementing solutions
  • Work within a team of like-minded professionals to plan, deploy, and maintain critical business applications
  • Enforce security and privacy best practices that are compliant with various data management classifications
  • Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, C# SQL, Python, or Go
  • 3+ years of experience developing in stacks for design-time and runtime experiences
  • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
  • 1+ years of experience in JSON, HTTP, RESTful services, and distributed systems
  • 1+ years of experience with database optimization (SQL, NoSQL)
  • 1+ years of experience in developing RESTful APIs
