Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance, Senior Analyst that will serve as a Shipboard Cableway Manager supporting a Federal Government client in Norfolk, VA. This Cableway Manager will track the status of all Multi-Cable Transit (MCT) and Multi-Cable Penetration (MCP) impacted by ShipAlt activities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, integrate, and document all modernization activity for MCT (Multi-Cable Transit) and MCP (Multi-Cable Penetration), cable/cableway removals, reroutes, installations and modifications impacted ShipAlt installations
  • Conduct periodic coordination meetings with the maintenance and modernization activities to resolve any schedule or resource conflicts and ensure schedules and critical path work is maintained.
  • Provide recommendations to deconflict prime contractor, I Level, AITs, and subcontractor's work schedules.
  • Receive and track MCT and MCP material turned over by other installing activities as they open MCTs and MCPs to accomplish their cableway modifications.
  • Conduct periodic progress meetings with key maintenance activity personnel to review all cableway production progress, review work status, revised schedules, and identify problems.
  • Establish and maintain a list within one month of the start of the availability, in spreadsheet or database format, of all MCTs, MCPs, cables and cableways affected by all Modernization ShipAlts.
  • Participate in and provide cableway status as required at project production meetings and weekly progress meetings
  • Accomplish periodic walk through for personal observation and verification of cableway production and progress. Report significant issues to the Hull Manager and OSIC immediately.

Required Qualifications
  • Shipboard experience, particularly with MCTs / MCPs
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Desired Qualifications
  • Senior Enlisted Navy experience
  • OSHA 10-hr Maritime certification

Education

HS Diploma or equivalent

Clearance
