This position is 100% Remote

The Proposal Coordinator supports proposal development and coordinates activities between the Proposal Managers and subsidiaries when developing proposals within MIOS Strategic Business Unit's Business Development and Operations (BDO) Department. The qualified candidate ensures a high quality of all deliverables associated with assigned tasks and meets all required performance standards. As a Proposal Coordinator, the candidate is highly organized and an effective coordinator who proactively anticipates needs for Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.

  • Provide proposal coordination support for Federal Government solicitations
  • Support the Proposal Managers during all stages of the proposal development process including providing SharePoint updates; analyzing requirements and developing draft compliance matrices, schedules, outlines, and templates; coordinating color reviews, organizing kickoffs, and managing invitations for various proposal team meetings
  • Create and develop program-related documentation for MIOS BDO requests for proposals, reports, manuals, and subsidiary requests for proposals
  • Maintain proposal department content library and update content for the Proposal Team
  • Draft, review, and edit deliverables to ensure they meet customer quality standards
  • Interview Subject Matter Experts for the Proposal Managers
  • Coordinate and facilitate proposal color reviews as needed
  • Format proposal documents using desktop publishing Microsoft Word to ensure they are properly formatted, compliant with RFP requirements, easy to read, and visually appealing
  • Support internal Chenega RFP pre-proposal assessments
  • Maintain relevant proposal metrics and post-award lessons learned information
  • Maintain regular communication with the Proposal Managers on current projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (English, Strategic Communications, Computer Science, etc. ) and at least 1+ years experience as a Proposal Coordinator in the Federal Government space
  • Familiarity with the Shipley or Lohfeld proposal process
  • Background check is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and capable of performing editing and other document correction activities
  • Experience using Adobe software tools (Acrobat, Distiller, Forms, etc.)
  • Experience working in SharePoint for document management
  • Advanced knowledge and grasp of the English language, including rules of composition, grammar, syntax, and a strong vocabulary
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Able to meet schedule and performance requirements for assigned tasks
  • Possess keen organizational and prioritization skills
  • High level of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity
  • Able to interact with co-workers to foster a team environment
