Adventist Healthcare's Outpatient Wellness Clinic (OWC) seeks to hire an experienced Medical Assistant who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Medical Assistant you will:
• Provides support to the providers to ensure efficient clinical operations.
• Take vitals, administer and document selected health screenings, and document results in electronic medical record prior to patient being seen by provider.
• Coordinate medication prior authorizations.
• Responsible for coordinating and administering Long-Acting Injectable (LAI) medications, for the LAI Clinic and current follow up LAI patients.
• Communicate patient concerns and refill request to provider
• Assist providers with administrative tasks & help meet the needs of the patients.
• Also support the front desk operations by answering and directing incoming calls, scheduling patient appointments, and providing front desk coverage as needed.

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be a current Certified Medical Assistant
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a medical office performing as a medical assistant.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
• Ability to handle a multitask environment, strong organizational skills
• Computer knowledge and typing skills
• Familiarity with Medical Terminology, CPT & ICD coding, and insurance requirements
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Work Schedule:

Full Time, Monday- Thursday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am- 2:00 pm
