The Product Experience Delivery (PXD) Team's responsibility is to connect users in the Capital One enterprise with simple to use, digitally enriched experiences that are designed to maximize associate productivity. Our teams uncover old, archaic processes and identify Associate pain-points caused by outdated technology - and then we design, develop, and implement new ways of doing things that alleviate users' headaches and wasted time. To make all of this happen, we have great people with diverse skill sets - including researchers, designers, developers, product owners, and data scientists - all collaborating and working together with a common goal of improving the experience for every user in the Capital One enterprise. We set audacious goals, laugh at danger, and have an altruistic true north that involves building, shaping, and having a massive impact on the tech experience for every user at Capital One.

Capital One is actively seeking experienced Software Developers with expertise in technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with building full-stack applications that produce and consume APIs. Candidates will also be responsible for overall delivery of software components. This project will entail frontend and backend programming, testing, DevOps and application support. We fully embody the "you build it, you own it" mindset.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
  • Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and SQL, RDS databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS Fargate, and a variety of AWS tools and services
  • Collaborating with other platform tech leads, ensure integrated end-to-end design and delivery
