Job Announcement
Works as part of the Streetlights and Developer Default. Under the supervision of the Streetlights and Developer Default Branch Chief, performs engineering technical support work for a variety of projects in relation to the design, review and construction process of the developer program and streetlight program activities. Including serving as a point of contact for daily coordination with Land Development Services (LDS), developers, and electric utility companies on the installation of streetlights. Applies engineering principles to support the engineering team with the overall administration of development projects, cost estimates and design sketches. Provides technical support needed to maintain and update the GIS streetlight inventory in ArcGIS. Maintains and updates streetlight computer information to track encumbrances, expenditures, payments and to provide current project status. Prepares correspondence with Land Development Services (LDS), developers, and electric utility companies for developer program and citizen streetlight program activities. Participates in field work as necessary to coordinate development streetlight projects with utility companies and to verify plan information. Maintains and updates a computer project tracking system for all developer and citizen petition streetlight program activities. Provides assistance to costumers and advises applicants of the submission requirements, required documentation, payment process and required approvals for their specific project. Must be able to interpret data logically in order to identify solutions, sequences, chronological succession, errors and assist with problem solutions. Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to high school graduation or a GED issued by a state department of education; plus, four years of engineering technical support work.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
A valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, credit check, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
All newly hired employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two weeks after the last required dose) as a condition of employment or obtain approval of a medical or religious exemption prior to their start date. Proof of an exemption or vaccination status will be required during the pre-employment onboarding process. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work at computer with visual acuity for extended periods is required. Occasional field survey will be necessary. Ability to assist in field investigations at site development projects. Ability to produce organized and legible handwritten, typed/computer generated documents including the use of graphics. Must be able to proofread documents for accuracy. Ability to access and file documents and lift approximately 15-20 lbs. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

- 2 years of experience in the interpretation of construction documents and engineering designs.
- 2 years of experience in the review and interpretation of technical documents such as maps, site plans or schematics to plan work
- Information technology skills including use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and TEAMS.
- Research skills and the ability to select, utilize and maintain tools and technology, including new technology to facilitate work or a process.
- 2 years of experience in the use of ArcGIS and AutoCad.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
