Job Announcement

Provides support for all IT systems in the Facilities Management Department (FMD) working in concert with the Management Analyst III, Department of Information Technology staff, and Information Technology service vendors. Supports requirements gathering and efficiency improvements for all FMD business processes through the initial evaluation of requests for process improvements. Specific duties include:
  • Provides technical support, expertise and advice to management and end user staff;
  • Acts as intermediary between users and technical staff to resolve problems;
  • Assists in analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to meet the needs of the department and system users;
  • Participates in the requirements gathering, design, testing, and maintenance of the department asset management application;
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of agency business processes and the application of those processes to the asset management software;
  • Responds to production system emergencies and keeps abreast of information technology industry trends and direction for applicability to FMD automated systems development;
  • Assists in detecting, analyzing, and resolving application-related problems;
  • Tracks changes requested by agency management and users;
  • Troubleshoots issues with data in the automated system;
  • Understands and applies county security policies and requirements to support the county's strategic technical security policy and programs;
  • Drives vehicle to various county buildings;
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a field related to the department where the information technology services are being used; plus six months of experience analyzing business processes and/or developing/maintaining the main business system, technical platform or a related system.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience managing a database and using software for data analysis.
  • Experience working in a facilities management environment.
  • Experience training users on automated solutions or facilities management software.
  • Experience providing customer technical support, practical analytical reporting, or working with an asset management software such as Tririga or Nuvolo/Service Now.
  • Previous experience reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This job is considered emergency essential personnel and the incumbent is subject to emergency overtime and call-backs as necessary to execute the mission of the Facilities Management Department.
  • The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and driving record check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job is generally sedentary in nature, however, visual acuity is required to read data on computer monitor; incumbent must be able to operate keyboard driven equipment. Must communicate with others by telephone, cellphone and text. Employee may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, feed large paper into plotter, etc. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
