Principal Coordinator, Data Analyst, Community Finance Underwriting & Portfolio Management

The Data Analyst supports the Underwriting & Portfolio Management team in its effort to transition processes and systems as part of Community Finance's ongoing credit transformation.This role is responsible for managing and analyzing data, liaising with key internal stakeholders, and maintaining existing systems of record to drive monthly and quarterly reporting.In addition, the role will own data management and process of overall CF portfolio metrics with an opportunity to re-envision how CF portfolio performance data is tracked and shared across the bank to ensure a well managed business and drive impact.Working closely with the Portfolio Management Team, the Data Analyst also supports, tracks and compiles the day-to-day workload management of the individual portfolio managers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Track new business and add new loans and investments to the monthly Portfolio Classification Report
  • Coordinate and oversee Spreading Team functions; conduct quality control testing; populate and maintain data; secure missing and updated AHIC data as necessary
  • Compile and review quarterly Syndicator benefit schedules, conduct quality control testing, identify variances, compile and report results to key stakeholders
  • Extract data from master spreadsheets for ad hoc reporting as requested; provide Underwriting and Originations teams with key metrics on Syndicator performance and exposure.
  • Monitor and extract K1 documents from individual client portals; follow up on missing documentation; upload data for tax team
  • Assist with process design and development to create efficiencies across CF and External Affairs
  • Work within External Affairs and across the bank to communicate and report on regular key portfolio data and metrics; CRA, Compliance, Credit, Special Assets, Accounting, among others.
  • Track and send weekly communication on Past Due and Upcoming Maturities and Annual Reviews to internal stakeholders
  • Reconcile monthly reporting with other internal teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy for compliance and financial reporting purposes
  • Facilitate and organize quarterly calls (Watch and Criticized, Construction Monitoring, Stabilized Quarterly) for the PM team; document approvals and follow up items and distribute to the Portfolio Management team



Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of VLOOKUP experience
  • At least 1 year of large data-set management experience
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Jira Software a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
