Human Resources is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining AARP enterprise-wide human resource strategies, initiatives, policies, procedures and related systems. This includes employee compensation and benefits, organization design and integration, talent acquisition, talent development and employee relations.

The Talent Development Analyst implements learning programs using a learning management system. The Analyst manages the set-up and monitoring of programs and ensures data is entered, as required. The Analyst reviews existing processes, determines improvements, and implements improvements. Lastly, this person ensures managers have the key information and data regarding their programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with program owners, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and manage implementation of detailed logistics required to ensure successful delivery of live/instructor-led workshops. 
  • Manages mandatory training compliance reporting, analysis, and follow-up processes for both employees and contingent workers. 
  • Evaluates and continuously improves learner-centric processes and procedures for implementation of workshops and other learning activities, including promotion, enrollment, pre-/post-session communications (learner and supervisor), and logistics. Maintains related processes and standard operating procedures. 
  • Establishes, tests, and maintains curricula, courses, classes, and other learning activities within the learning management system. Manages the testing of Americans with Disabilities Act within mandatory training activities. 
  • Addresses questions and issues identified by learners, facilitators, program owners, and other stakeholders. Ensures inquiries received via shared mailboxes are addressed within one business day of receipt. 
  • Monitors and evaluates enrollment for upcoming live/instructor-led workshops and coordinates with program owners and other stakeholders to identify and execute promotion/marketing plans. 
  • Supports administration of procure-to-pay activities, with specific direction from management. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource/HRIS Management, Education, Adult Learning, Communications, or related field required.
  • 2+ years event planning/coordination experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years planning/coordination of learning programs preferred.
  • 1+ years Instructional Systems Design experience preferred.
  • Highly effective organizational skills, attention to detail while addressing multiple priorities/projects.
  • Adaptability; learns quickly and responds positively to complexity.
  • In office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
