TheC++ and Linux Software Developer will research, design, develop, or test software and software related systems for military or scientific use employing knowledge of software design methods.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deliver specific software functionality in support of government requirements.
- Coordinate with Service Program offices to ensure developed software meets their requirements.
- Contribute to testing activities, including writing test plans, executing tests, regression testing, performance testing, and integration testing, etc.
- Contribute to improving the overall quality of our software development processes and practices.
- Provide estimation of product development efforts.
- Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
- Serve as a Project Lead within the Program Office and customer organization.
- Support coordination on all aspects of software development, testing, acceptance, and support for multiple projects.
- Follow published policies and regulations.
- Supervisory: May be required to provide daily supervision in compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including employee recruiting, development, and retention.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Relevant BS/BA and 3+ years of relevant experience OR
- AA/AS and 7+ years of relevant experience OR
- High school diploma or GED and 9+ years of relevant experience
- Background check required with the ability to obtain an interim secret clearance followed by a full secret clearance, to continue employment, is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of writing and executing software test cases.
- Knowledge of scripting languages.
- Knowledge of test automation.
- Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks.
- Knowledge working with databases using SQL queries.
- Development knowledge with .Net and Visual Studio IDE.
- Java, C+, C++, and C# programming knowledge.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the software development industry.
- Ability to work with large and complex data sets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Team Foundation Server.
- Ability to travel 15-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
