Awarded in August 2021 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has a three-year base period plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for an Aegis Weapon System Missile Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract.

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As an Aegis Weapon System Missile Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
  • Provide Weapons System analysis and evaluation of various Standard Missiles used in Sea-based Weapons Defense Programs
  • Evaluate test results (both ground and flight tests) and provide that analysis to the Program Chief Engineer and Program Manager
  • Provide missile program modernization recommendations to counter the emerging threat portfolios
  • Provide technical oversite to the missile refresh effort for those coming back from the Fleet
  • Will be responsible to the Program Chief Engineer and Program Manager for technical analysis and recommendations based on observed test results
  • Will be responsible for recommended updates to technical documentation and maintenance procedures for current and modernized assets.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree STEM Field with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
  • Ability to apply analytical rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
  • Familiarity with Navy Missile Systems
  • US citizenship required
  • Active secret clearance
  • The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief

Preferred:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
  • Experience with Missile Systems Analysis
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
