Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is a highly experienced resource to provide tactical and strategic support of FDA's near and long-term strategic activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Senior expert with extensive, enterprise-wide knowledge and experience in one or more designated functional and/or domain areas.
  • Provides insight and advice concerning strategic direction and
    applicability of up to date, industry standard solutions.
  • Is responsible for providing high level vision to
    program/project manager or senior client leadership to influence objectives of complex efforts.
  • The Subject Matter Expert is primarily utilized on projects for their specific expertise, not in a managerial capacity, in support of the creation of comprehensive methods for describing current and/or future structure and behavior of an organization's processes, systems, personnel and organizational sub-units, so
    that they align with the organization's core goals and strategic direction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts and in translating business process needs into technical requirements.
  • 10+ years of federal and/or healthcare consulting and/or project management experience.
  • Bachelors' degree, Masters' preferred
  • Ability to work onsite in Silver Spring, MD as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in PowerPoint and quantitative strengths in the creation of detailed analytical models using Excel and various tools.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, organizational designs, change management, policy, risk management, performance management, knowledge management, trainig, coaching and mentoring.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Experience with FDA and/or HHS.
  • Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities.
