Director of Student & Learning Information Systems

We are in search of a Director of Student & Learning Information Systems who plans and executes organization-wide student information systems strategy and oversees the Information Systems Team in executing this strategy. Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School (CRIPCS) utilizes several Student Information Systems, business intelligence tools, a data warehouse, and various other applications to support daily operations and report to stakeholders, and the Information Systems Team is responsible for the effective functioning of these systems.

The Director of Student & Learning Information Systems reports to the COO and manages the Information Systems team of 3-4 individuals who support all departments in their effective use of these applications.

Responsibilities:

• Build a culture of service within the Information Systems Team

• Create and oversee customer service processes for supporting end users in their effective use of CRIPCS systems

• Build the information and application ecosystem at CRIPCS in a way that best meets the organization’s operational and reporting requirements

• Supervise Information Systems staff and support their professional development

• Establishes policies, practices, and security measures safeguard information resources and comply with FERPA requirements

• Lead change management and communication efforts in support of information systems initiatives

• Identify opportunities for business systems to further the organization’s strategy

• Provides information processing, systems counseling, and guidance to management personnel throughout the school.

• Establishes Information System policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources.

• Influences and establishes tactical and strategic direction in support of the CRIPCS Business Strategy

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of eight years of related experience supporting organizations in the effective use of information systems or the appropriate combination of education and experience.

• Demonstrated success in the leadership and management of a diverse team

• Prior experience working with a Student Information System

• Strong understanding of database concepts and methods of systems integration

• Prior experience designing and managing support processes, with ITIL certification, preferred

• Demonstrated experience providing world-class customer service

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in written communication

• Skill in Project Management is a must

• Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination
