Awarded in August 2022 to the Parsons Team, the TEAMS next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract has three-base periods plus four one-year options that should take the period of performance through the end of 2028 into 2029. The primary purpose of this contract is to provide outstanding systems engineering services vital for MDA mission success at multiple locations around the world. Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, has a challenging and interesting career opportunity for a Senior System Engineer who will play a key role in supporting critical Missile Defense Agency missions on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will work closely with the engineering team in MDA Innovation, Science & Technology (DV) Technology Maturation (DVR) and the radiation hardening points of contact across the Agency providing technical and programmatic support.

Responsibilities
Work you'll do
As a Senior System Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
- Identify promising emerging technologies for transition into the Missile Defense System to counter emerging threats and close capability gaps
- Assess proposals
- Develop radiation hardening research topics for technology solicitations
- Provide technical support in technical interchanges
- Review information on threats and state of the art technologies relevant to nuclear survivability
- Provide expert technical advice to customer on planning, maturating, integrating, and transferring nuclear radiation hardened microelectronics and other components for potential use in the Missile Defense System
- Perform technical assessments of Broad Area Announcement (BAA) proposals and white papers (e.g., Innovation, Science & Technology; Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) BAAs)
- Provide direct support to the government customer in overseeing the progress of active research efforts and provide clear and accurate reporting to the government customer
- Identify and document MDA radiation hardening technology needs, participate in meetings and conferences, and review technical papers and articles on relevant technologies
Qualifications
Required:
- MS degree in engineering or a STEM field with 10+ years of experience in nuclear survivability/radiation hardening of microelectronics, components, and systems
- Skill with translating technical needs into solicitation topic requirements
- Skill with critical analysis of technical proposal content and technical content in general
- Skill with oral and written communications and developing and presenting briefings and technical reports
- Skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Top Secret clearance required, TS/SCI desired
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
