100% Telework

The salary for this position is $135k annually.

The Senior Architect is responsible for leading the development of architectural projects from project kickoff through all phases of design and construction period services to project completion for multiple projects of various sizes, types, complexities, and clients may also serve as a Project Manager and client contact. Technical detailing, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, develop, and deliver architectural work as required for projects.
  • Define, develop, prepare. and manage discipline and/or project: scopes of work, communications, documents and reports, schedules, budgets and cost estimates, and QA/QC reviews and controls that are integral to the design process from commencement through completion.
  • Responsible oversight of technical specifications, drawing package production and coordination, research and application of appropriate industry standards, and client and code criteria.
  • Exercise independent judgement in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques and methodologies for problem solving.
  • Facilitate client, consultant, and team relationships.
  • Work under minimal supervision with ability to provide leadership and mentoring to less experienced staff.
  • Act as the Designer of Record.
  • May also serve as a Project Manager and client contact.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of senior architecture experience with various project sizes, types, and budgets, architectural schematic design, and design development experience, including demonstrated experience with evaluation of new and existing facilities
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and REVI
  • Experience in construction management, scheduling, and cost-estimating
  • Background check required with the ability to obtain a top secret clearance for federal projects
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
  • Licensed architect in the U.S.A
  • NCARB certified
  • Valid driver's license
  • US citizenship required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Design and technical competence in developing and the production of complete construction documents, including drawings and specification for new and renovation projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of ICC codes, Life Safety Code, ABA Guidelines, and Energy and Sustainability Design Regulations.
  • Knowledge of current AutoCAD and other design and general office software.
  • Knowledge of specifications development and coordination, using government-based specification software.
  • Ability to prepare and provide high-level briefs to senior leadership.
  • Oral and written communication skills must be highly developed.
