Overview

AM LLC is seeking a Developer, Technical Lead to support our Veterans Administration (VA) customer's enterprise Digital GI Bill instance. Currently, this role will be remote until the COVID-19 pandemic is resolved. Strong preference given to candidates within a 30-mile commuting radius of Chantilly, VA, although candidates can live anywhere within the United States. Due to federal security clearance requirements, U.S. citizenship or a Green Card is required. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Tasks and responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

Senior team members are expected to lead their team and assume responsibility for the team's culture and deliverables.

General:
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately communicates with all levels of stakeholders from assistants to senior executives.
  • Ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Able to lead and guide the team, apply business and functional knowledge to meet the requirements with best software development methodologies and principles. Review and integrate technical and application architecture requirements.
  • 8 years of related work experience.
  • Spring framework concepts, Spring boot
  • REST, SOAP web services
  • Authentication mechanisms (SAML, OAuth)
  • multi-threading (concurrency)
  • JMS, Schedulers, workflow engines
  • Git, maven, CI/CD
  • hibernate, Oracle and Postgres databases
  • JMeter, unit, functional testing.
  • Agile development experience
  • Docker, orchestration using Kubernetes
  • AWS Cloud, Apache Kafka
  • Logging aggregators like (EFK or ELK)
  • Splunk, SonarQube, JMeter.
  • BS and Java
  • Data transformation across systems


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering,
