Communications Project Manager Job Summary:

We are looking for a Communications Project Manager to join a full-service communications firm. Do you enjoy working on a team to develop innovative and effective communications strategies? How about taking complex technical information and translating it into simple-to-understand messages? If that sounds interesting, this is the perfect job for you. This position will allow you to work on a regionally significant infrastructure project in Washington DC, connecting with various stakeholders while enhancing your communications, marketing, and advertising expertise

This position will be fully remote but may require you to occasionally work onsite in the Washington DC and surrounding area.

Communications Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Be the primary contact with our clients
  • Manage strategic and tactical operation of communications project
  • Coordinate with client and creative team for development and approvals of meeting materials
  • Manage project budgets
  • Coordinate other company services (creative services, public meetings staffing, reports, media services, PR services, etc.)
  • Plan, organize and execute public outreach campaigns, including developing public information plans
  • Plan virtual and in-person meetings and outreach events
  • Oversee development of content for outreach materials
  • Secure necessary approvals for content
  • Oversee the organization and collection of equipment, materials, signage, etc. for public meetings
  • Staff public meetings and events as is necessary
  • Attend weekly staff meetings (via Zoom)

Communications Project Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 2-10 years of commensurate experience required (junior, mid or senior level candidates will be considered).
  • Knowledge of public information process at transportation agencies a plus
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience developing and implementing communication plans
