Job Summary
Aptive is seeking experienced Senior Healthcare Management Consultants to deliverhigh-quality consulting services and project management to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) and/or other federal health agencies. This position requires strong client interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various senior-level stakeholders across multiple tasks. Implementing projects in alignment with client goals, developing clear and impactful deliverables, and problem solving are all required for this position. The successful candidate will be highly organized, systematic, and proactive in exceeding client expectations within a fast-paced environment. Experience managing teams for a VHA project is highly preferable.

Primary Responsibilities
- Work with government leads to develop project approach, strategies, and work plans
- Prepare project materials, briefings and reports
- Oversee work plans for multiple components of an engagement, and manage contract/work stream activities
- Perform detailed, quantitative analysis using standard tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.)
- Design and implement recommended solutions
- Conduct client interviews and facilitate client meetings
- Confidently communicate, present findings and recommendations to colleagues and clients
- Provide guidance to and mentor junior staff
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA, MPH) preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience (prior federal management consulting experience is highly preferred)
- 5+ years of management consulting experience in a health care related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies (e.g., Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense)
- Availability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
- S. citizen/Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of the federal health care landscape (previous experience managing Veterans Health Administration (VHA) projects is preferred)
- Knowledge of military and Veteran populations
- Experience with VHA Central Office
- Advanced degree in business or health care-related field (e.g., MHA, MBA, MPH)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills with proven ability to balance competing tasks and meet deadlines
- Significant interpersonal, team building and communication skills
- Project management skills, including managing a team, project plans, and budgets
- Experience in direct client service or in a client service capacity
- Independent, critical thinker able to build consensus and foster change in ambiguous, uncertain environments
