Principal Associate, Technology Product Marketing Manager (PMM)

The Capital One Brand team is seeking a Technology Product Marketer to support campaign strategy and execution targeting our technologist audience. We have compelling messages and stories to share with Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Software Developers, and Cloud Infrastructure specialists.

The product marketer will leverage their technical subject matter expertise to help articulate Capital One's industry leading technology capabilities, including our enterprise platforms and innovative products spanning internal tooling, open source projects, and commercial software offerings. They will leverage their experience in technology and marketing to forge relationships, create buy-in and develop a shared agenda with marketers, product managers, and engineers across the company.

The Technology Product Marketer's charter is to make our marketing campaigns more resonant with our technologist audience, driving recruitment of tech talent and monetization of our software and associated services. They are champions of our products and define persona and messaging strategy across technology disciplines, from cloud infrastructure to AI/ML. They are experts in our customers and products, and use their expertise to influence our technology and marketing strategies.

What you'll do
  • Be the subject matter expert on key technology areas including but not limited to Cloud Infrastructure, Data Science and Machine Learning, Data Engineering, and Software Development
  • Define and manage persona and messaging for our technologist audiences, supporting marketing campaigns across channels including events, social media, email, website, video, and blogs.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of our technologist audience to create and improve our persona guides and messaging in support of campaign development and execution.
  • Work with our partners across technical product teams and marketing disciplines including PR, social media, email, and content to create compelling multi-channel campaigns.
  • Develop insights based on industry trends and associated companies and vendors and translate those insights into actionable recommendations that promote business objectives and drive tangible results.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technology role
  • At least 3 years of experience in a consulting, sales, or marketing role


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years experience in a technology role
  • At least 1 year of experience in a marketing role
  • Experience marketing B2B enterprise technology products or services
  • Experience in highly cross-functional and matrixed teams
  • Startup experience
