Business Intelligence Report DeveloperGeorge Mason University, Information Technology Services (ITS) - located on the Fairfax, Va., campus-invites applications for a Business Intelligence Report Developer position within the Enterprise Applications, Business Intelligence Services team. Additionally, this position will assist the data mart team in functional and performance testing strategies for new and existing reports. The BI Report Developer will also develop training material and conduct training sessions for users of the various University data marts and reports. This individual must have significant working knowledge of SQL, preferably with Oracle databases, knowledge of data warehouse architecture, and experience with business intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent combination of related education and experience;Experience developing reports in a Business Intelligence tool or a reporting tool, such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau;Demonstrated skill in effective communication, to support both functional area users and ITS technical staff;Ability to demonstrate significant working knowledge of SQL queries; andAbility to multi-task.Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of MicroStrategy reporting, architecture and operations;Demonstrated working knowledge of Data Warehouse design and Star Schema methodology;Experience with Oracle Databases; andPerformance tuning of SQL queries.Salary is commensurate with education and experience.George Mason University is a great place to work where employees are given an opportunity to develop skills and expand horizons.
