Overview

AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP's millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.

As the Engagement Marketing Manager in the AARP Services, Inc. (ASI) Digital Services Marketing Team, you will support growth, usability and engagement across member-facing digital customer experiences, with a focus on member benefit engagement. You will lead and collaborate on planning, development and launch initiatives across web and mobile channels, partnering with ASI, AARP and external teams. You will balance business needs with outcomes, translating requirements into actionable design, UX and technology solutions to help drive growth. As the manager, you will be an active participant on agile/pod core teams, manage ASI digital ongoing enhancement requests, and lead communications around digital product enhancements with internal teams. You will serve in a consultative role acting as a key stakeholder in the development of new channels, tactics and programs across AARP in support of driving member engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and prioritization of digital products, leading cross-functional product development teams, and aligning stakeholders around digital product plans.
  • Manage the execution of initiatives from conception through delivery including gathering requirements and assets, developing project plans, user flows, functional specifications, and user stories while emphasizing overall project quality.
  • Facilitate the architecting, development, deployment and support for all platforms.
  • Guide and lead UX and work with designers to create a compelling and brand-aligned visual experience.
  • Assist with management and execution of digital product roadmaps to meet business goals.
  • Follow release planning best practices to set and meet expectations throughout the entire product lifecycle, including communications to stakeholders.
  • Develop and analyze product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Bachelor's degree required. 6+ years' experience in managing consumer digital channels and services preferred and 3+ years experience in UX/Usability and design.
  • Proven ability to manage numerous projects concurrently.
  • Must be accustomed to making data-driven decisions on a daily basis.
  • Passion for understanding consumer and user needs and translating into digital tactics.
  • Must have ability to focus on the details while keeping the big picture view in mind.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with A/B, multivariate testing, analytics platforms, and personalization tools.
  • Experience with managing multiple, time-critical projects.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
