Director of Accreditation, Assessment & AnalyticsThe George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Director of Accreditation, Assessment & Analytics. This position is responsible for leadership in accreditation, assessment and analytics to support data-informed decision making in the School of Business to achieve strategic goals. The Director is also responsible for overseeing and managing the processes associated with the continuing accreditation efforts in the School of Business including appropriate assessment and assurance of learning processes related to Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) accreditations, as well as others we may choose to pursue. To support these strategic initiatives, the School of Business is playing a significant role in three new university initiatives: the Institute for Digital InnovAtion (IDIA); the Institute for a Sustainable Earth (ISE); and the School of Computing.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Maintain expertise in all AACSB accreditation standards and interpretations of requirements for those standards. Advise School of Business leadership of issues and implement changes in process and practices;Ensure the School of Business is at the leading edge of use of data to inform and improve decision-making in support of the School's mission and strategic goals. Work with School leadership to identify questions of import that can be addressed with data, identify appropriate sources of data, and supervise cleansing and storage of such data. Develop approach to analyze and report out the results of that analysis in ways most conducive to use by school decision makers;Lead Faculty Qualification and journal review processes. Coordinate with Senior Associate Dean on workload and faculty reporting processes. Facilitate area chair and faculty understanding of related processes and outcomes;Lead the Assurance of Learning (AoL) process, including working with faculty committees, areas, programs, and other faculty groups in coordination and implementation of the AoL plan; ensure that the Business School maintains necessary documentation to demonstrate complete cycle of assessment, feedback, and closing the loop actions; supervise preparation of reports on AoL activities;Liaise with university leadership regarding accreditation, reporting, and assessment;Direct the development and production of all AACSB and other annual and periodic reporting by the university (TK20) and for the maintenance of AACSB and SACS accreditation, as well as other accreditations we might seek;Write and prepare internal reports on an annual basis and as requested on the status of Business School activities related to faculty, research, and academic programs;Lead development of analytics practices, including working with School leadership to identify appropriate metrics for regular analyses and appropriate reporting of key performance metrics and other relevant data in support of the School's mission;Lead School of Business participation in rankings, including working with the Senior Associate Dean to identify appropriate rankings in which to participate and coordinate with appropriate university personnel to compile, compute, and submit rankings information;Lead development of analytics practices in the School of Business related to student experience and outcomes. This will include the ability to understand current tools that are offered at the university with analytics capabilities, apply those tools to Business School students and activities, and work with the appropriate constituents to design interventions aimed at improving key student success metrics such as learning, academic achievement, student satisfaction and engagement, student retention, and graduation rates;Serve as the Brand Administrator for Qualtrics and maintain appropriate Qualtrics certification, monitor changes in Qualtrics functionality and capabilities, provide and facilitate Qualtrics training for faculty and staff, and assist faculty in the development, deployment, and analysis of surveys for research purposes;As assigned by the Dean or Senior Associate Dean, provide leadership and oversight on special projects for the School of Business.Required Qualifications:Master's degree in business administration, data analytics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience;Considerable (generally 5+ years) advanced-level administration work experience;Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication;Experience in university-level or department-level assessment;Data Analytics or statistics work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in AACSB and SACs, Middle or Western states accreditation requirements;Experience with project management in a business school.
