Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Respiratory Therapy Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Respiratory Therapy Manager you will:
•Be responsible for ensuring daily operations of the department and ensuring that it is functioning optimally.
•Be responsible for hiring, training and managing staff. Maximizes staff performance utilizing the performance management cycle.
•Manage the staffing schedule ensuring that the schedule is complete and staffing needs are accurate according to the acuity of the patients.
•Ensure that the staff is competent with new techniques, equipment, procedures.
•Ensure in-services are provided to other disciplines as needed.
•Ensure that all policies and procedures are compliant with regulations set by The Joint Commission.
•Collaborate with peers to develop and maintain relationships with all hospital and medical staff.
•Bachelor's degree and master's degree within 2 years of hire into the position.
•5 years in the specialty area.
•3 years of supervisory and/or education coordinator experience.
•Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience
•Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC
•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required
•Proficient in basic computer skills (i.e. windows and excel), and computerized respiratory equipment
•Obtain an advanced certification within 1 year or when eligible
