Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for an AegisWeapon System Aegis Ashore Systems Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will directly support MDA AA program office in the integration of the Aegis Ashore sites

Responsibilities

Work you'll do

As an AegisWeapon System Aegis Ashore Systems Engineer within our TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering team, you will:
  • Streamline the integration process to support schedule, cost, risk reduction
  • Under the purview of MDA, provide support for requirement verification through onsite test observation and inspection
  • Provide Technical Data Package (TDP)/Modeling support
  • Provide technical support of the Technical Data Package by reviewing changes and participating in the TDP Working Group as needed
  • Provide integration and validation support of mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems using simulation and modeling products
  • Program management support for program lifecycle cost, program planning, schedule and risk management
  • Ensure that all Verification & Validation (V&V) requirements are accomplished while integrating the total system as well as at final system check out

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
  • Ability to apply Engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
  • Familiarity with Navy Weapon Systems
  • Active secret security clearance
  • Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication proficiency
  • The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief

Desired Skills:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Prior experience with Aegis Weapons Systems
  • Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
  • Technical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.
