Job Summary
Aptive is seeking a full-time Logistics Coordinator with demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating events/focus groups, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions related to events such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. The candidate will provide logistical, marketing, and administrative support for focus groups and research activities conducted on behalf of the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The Logistics Coordinator ultimately will help increase enrollment and retention in WIC, while reducing disparities in program access and delivery.
This position requires strong customer interaction skills and a demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders across multiple tasks.
This full-time position is located in Alexandria, VA. This position may also be remote. Note, travel may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage event planning and logistics.
- Provide on-site support for participants and presenters during events and focus groups, as necessary.
- Manage protocol requirements surrounding focus groups/events, to include planning, organizing, registration, administration, and communication with stakeholders.
- Provide day of logistical, marketing, and administrative event support.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4 years of experience planning and executing logistical operations/events.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, event planning, or related fields.
- Experience supporting large in-person and virtual events.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to carry out multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Deep experience using virtual platforms such as MS Teams and Zoom.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience manage program budgets and large teams.
- Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Strategic thinker with drive to get all types of work done and a high attention to detail
- Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings; superior consulting abilities
- Prior public health campaign management and execution experience.
- Communications experience within a Healthcare system or healthcare facility.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with a high-level attention to detail and ability to carry out multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
- Capable self-starter with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Strategic thinker with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
- Experience with federal agencies including USDA, or other federal nutrition programs.
- Excellent ability to communicate across all mediums and settings.
- Experience working in/with historically underserved communities, with audiences including pregnant, breastfeeding, postpartum women, parents/guardians of children under 5 years old, low-income Americans, and LEP consumer audiences.
- Experience supporting large federal agencies, ideally USDA, and/or an organization serving the target audiences listed above.
